About the Role
Buyers Admin Assistant
Birmingham
My client is a fashion retailer who are recruiting for a Buyers Admin Assistant to assist one of the busiest categories within the business. The successful candidate will provide administration support to the team and the Buyer to help ensure the smooth running of this growing department.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the samples
- Opening parcels and ensuring samples or given to the appropriate person
- Prepare samples for meetings.
- Organise for samples to be sent to the suppliers.
- Support in the selection of ranges
- Attend fit sessions with the Buyer and GTs
- General administrative duties for the buying team, such as take minutes in meetings.
- Ensure all detailed product information is accurate and loaded on time.
- Follow the critical path.
- Work with the other in-house teams including merchandising, marketing and e-commerce.
About you:
- Positive, enthusiastic and a team player with an open-minded approach
- Excellent communication and excellent IT skills
- The ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Able to organise yourself and be able to multi-task.
- Graduate or 12 months relevant experience

A vacancy has arisen for a Ladies daywear designer with character licencing experience. The company is based in the North West but will offer hybrid working for the right candidate.
You will be:
Ensure high service levels are provided and newness in design is given.
Proficient in Adobe Software, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
See concept designs through to production, working closely with buyers and factories to ensure the brief is met.
Work closely with technologists and merchandisers, to ensure products fit and find solutions to any problems in production.
A common interest/knowledge for Licensed Properties and product.
Researching trends, and creating mood boards for new projects and seasons ahead.
Collaborate with other creatives in the Design team to ensure a common vision and consistent branding across the business.
Attending customer meetings and prepare for presentations.
Design to a brief and amend as buyer requests, display experience of liaising with buyers requests and demands.
Creating exclusive designs, with awareness of cost and factory restrictions.
Prepare design packs, including technical drawing and size specs.
Thorough understanding of the current market and research of retailers to ensure handwriting is in line.
Manage day to day work load, working closely with buyers and factories to ensure deadlines are met for samples and designs.
Develop new products with the factories from research, requesting new fabrics and embellishments.
Reasonable travel, including factory visits and regular comparative shopping in the UK and overseas.

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Menswear Designer. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person to join a fast-paced and fast-growing company.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a close-knit team, working with some of the country’s largest and most influential retailers and directional streetwear customers on varied product areas.
The Role:
We are looking for a great communicator with confidence to manage suppliers, engage with mills, suppliers etc to source fabrics, develop product and manage orders alongside tech team and account managers.
Office based role in our Manchester city centre office.
Travel to customers and research trips is standard.

About you:
Previous experience is essential along with knowledge of and experience liaising with various customers and factories.

Good understanding of fabrics, fit and washing.
