About Me
Lucy Ratoff is Co-Founder and Recruitment Director of Encore Recruitment.
She has worked in fashion and lifestyle recruitment for more than 20 years, supporting brands, retailers and suppliers, and the people building their careers within those businesses.
Over that time, she has seen where hiring decisions tend to break down, often when expectations are not fully understood, or when a role appears clear on paper but works differently in practice.
Her work focuses on helping people understand hiring and career decisions before they commit.
This involves building a clear picture of how a role works day to day, what a business needs, and what someone wants next and recognising when a move is likely to work for both sides, even if it is not obvious at first.
At Encore Recruitment, this approach sits behind the Encore Recruitment Recommendation Standard. Lucy introduces candidates to clients and roles to candidates when she can see the potential for them to work well together.
Many of the relationships built over time continue across different roles, businesses and career stages, with people often becoming both clients and candidates.
Outside of work, Lucy spends time at the horse riding stables or unwinds with something trashy on TV.
