Digital Merchandiser

Our client is an established ladies multi-channel fashion retailer based in the west midlands area and are looking for a talented individual as a digital merchandiser. The company designs and develops Ladieswear for a broad range of customers, seeking the correct look and fit of all ages to ensure that the product fits beautifully, and performs well.

Being involved in the final approval of all product pages on the website. Expectation is right first time, 100% of the time, whilst optimising the customer journey by performing regular site walks/reviews to ensure customer journey for partner brands are well optimised and intuitive. Regular SEO audits to drive excellent SEO Optimisation in collaboration with the in-house SEO Team. Utilise keyword research and search trends data to optimise product titles and copy on product pages. Work in close alignment with the merchandising / marketing teams across the division to ensure brands/group are well represented on site & across channel. Regular interpretation of data analysis, providing key insights and recommendations for improvement across a variety of metrics such as traffic, conversion and basket metrics. Purchase of ROI dashboard required.

  • Use insights to understand customer behaviour, making decisions and recommendations based on these insights with the customer at the forefront of mind. 
  • Providing digital and trade post event analysis and recommendations to inform future investment strategy & understand customer behaviour within brand and understand key replenish/cross sell triggers to increase retention

What skills and experience do I need for this role?

  • Ecommerce trading experience with 2-3 years SEO experience with high knowledge of Keyword Research
  • Interest within the retail / clothing industry 
  • Analytical ability with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator – able to give clarity and set direction

This is a hands-on buying role with responsibility for both product selection and product development, working closely with Design, Merchandising, QC, Marketing and E-Commerce teams to deliver exciting, commercial ranges that resonate with the customer. You will be responsible for managing your own product areas end-to-end, building strong supplier relationships, translating trends into commercial product, and driving sales and profit through well-planned, well-executed ranges. Responsibilities: Completes all processes with reference to daily/weekly sales, as well as longer term plans. Reporting and effectively communicate all key information in trading meeting to Buyer and Directors. Generate ideas and suggestion to impact the business with reference to promotions and mark downs. Provides SWOT analysis on designated categories. Monitors and maintains stocks as per KPI’s set and manages open to buy accordingly. Responds to competitor analysis. Buying Admin Assistant Birmingham We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buying Admin Assistant to join a dynamic team. You will be responsible for providing administration support to the Buying team and ensuring that all aspects of the buying process are running smoothly and efficiently. This role is ideal for individuals who possess strong organisational skills and have a keen eye for detail. Duties Order Management • Use of internal software to Input and update weekly purchase orders. • Action any order amendments under direction of the B&M team. Critical Path Management • Managing critical path information with the suppliers (sending template and chasing updated information). • Using Critical path to ensure timely delivery of stock into the Warehouse, highlighting any possible risks and reasons for delays to the B&M team on outstanding samples/approvals. • Managing approval process, chasing suppliers for Buying samples/Outstanding approvals/fit samples, filing accordingly. Trading Information • Preparing weekly and seasonal analysis (Traffic light documents). • Ensuring preparation for Trade Meeting. • Creating and updating ‘New in’ competitive analysis. • Creating and updating Benchmarking information. • Creating and updating departmental trend and product research. • Monthly comp shop/store visits with report.
