Our Principles | How Belonging-Driven Recruitment Works

Encore Recruitment is a 1% for the Planet member. We donate 2% of annual revenue to environmental charities, including Surfers Against Sewage and FareShare.

Encore Recruitment is a fashion and lifestyle recruitment consultancy.From the start, we wanted Encore Recruitment to be a business that contributed beyond profit. Supporting social and environmental organisations has been part of that decision since we began recruiting for the fashion and lifestyle sector in October 2020.<h2>Our Commitment</h2>Encore Recruitment is a Company Member of <a href="https://www.onepercentfortheplanet.org/" title="1% for the Planet Website" target="_blank" rel="noopener">1% for the Planet</a>, a global network that verifies environmental giving by its members.We chose to go further.We donate 2% of our yearly revenue to support environmental and social initiatives. Contributing more than 1% feels right to us and aligns with our company values.Every role we help fill contributes to this commitment. So when you work with us, whether you're hiring or seeking your next opportunity, you're automatically part of the broader impact our business creates. No extra effort required on your part.<h2>Where Our Donations Go</h2>We support these three organisations that align with our values and create measurable impact.Encore Recruitment is an Ocean Network Member of <a href="https://www.sas.org.uk/" title="Surfers Against Sewage Website" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Surfers Against Sewage</a>. The organisation works to protect oceans, beaches, and waterways from pollution through national campaigns, community programmes, and education initiatives such as <a href="https://plasticfreeschools.org.uk/" title="Plastic Free Schools Website" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Plastic Free Schools</a>. Some of our team have a personal connection to the ocean, which first introduced us to their work.<a href="https://fareshare.org.uk/" title="FareShare Website" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FareShare</a> redistributes surplus food across the UK to charities and community groups supporting people facing food insecurity. It's work that makes a real difference; good food reaching people who need it rather than going to waste.Part of our giving supports the 1% for the Planet. They verify their members&rsquo; giving, help connect businesses with approved environmental partners, and administer the global environmental giving network.Our donations have made a tangible difference. Through FareShare, we've helped provide around 16,000 meals for those facing food insecurity. Each &pound;1 donated supplies four meals*. Our support for Surfers Against Sewage aids the Plastic Free Schools movement, which has reached 1.4 million pupils*, educating and empowering young people to act on plastic pollution. 1% for the Planet has approved over $863 million in total environmental donations*.<h2>Looking Ahead</h2>Our focus today is straightforward: run a responsible business and share the benefits with causes that matter to us. Over time, we're exploring additional ways our work in fashion and lifestyle recruitment could contribute beyond financial support.
