The Role Working closely with the wider team, suppliers and customers, you will support the successful development and delivery of products from concept through to production. Key Responsibilities Merchandising Support the management of the critical path to ensure products are delivered on time. Track orders and maintain accurate production information. Communicate with suppliers regarding sampling, production and delivery schedules. Manage sample submissions and approval processes. Assist with range development and product administration. Produce reports and updates for the wider team. Work closely with suppliers to ensure deadlines are achieved. Garment Technology & Quality Measure samples against specifications and size charts. Review sample quality, fit and construction. Prepare technical comments and communicate feedback to factories. Support fit sessions and record amendments. Monitor product testing and compliance requirements. Assist with quality control processes throughout production. Help resolve any quality issues and support corrective actions with suppliers. About You We are looking for someone who is keen to build a career within the apparel industry and who enjoys working across both commercial and technical functions. Essential Around 1-2 years' experience within merchandising, garment technology, QC, product development or a similar role. Excellent organisation and attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn. Desirable Experience working with apparel, accessories or consumer products. Understanding of garment construction and manufacturing. Exposure to working with overseas suppliers. Trainee Technical Assistant Birmingham My client is a fast-paced UK Retailer with big plans on the horizon, who have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Technical Assistant to join the team in Birmingham. We are seeking a motivated and proactive Trainee Technical Assistant to support the Garment Technology team, which includes maintaining high standards across incoming stock. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-focused and able to work effectively in a busy environment. Key Responsibilities Assisting the technical team. Approving wash cares. Inspect brand labels, wash care labels, barcodes and packaging for accuracy and compliance. Approving garments for shipment, ensuring all garments are checked on stands. Checking warehouse deliveries against Q.C. reports. Updating critical path on Database system. Reviewing faulty stock with the technical team to assess commercial viability. Liaise effectively between the warehouse and the technical team. Demonstrate computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent organisational skills required.
