What You’ll Be Doing:
Liaising with overseas suppliers and freight agents to ensure timely shipments.

In this role you will be a key member of the design team. You will work closely with the menswear buyer, head of design and founder, to continually grow and develop the offer. You will need to be a proactive team player, contributing new ideas, tailored to the brand’s DNA. The role requires a high level of graphic and print ability, with good knowledge of different application techniques and strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills. Wider product knowledge is also important, as you will be required to develop across all menswear areas. You will be working directly with suppliers to develop seasonal designs, creating a good rapport, providing detailed techpacks and working directly with them on development trips. The role also involves managing any given deadlines and attending relevant sign off meetings. Branding handwriting is a key part of the role, so previous experience of working with a lifestyle brand would be beneficial, but you will also need to be aware of current market and forecast trends.

Experience
You will have extensive experience working as a menswear designer for no less than 5 years and knowledge of what makes a product on brand. You should have experience of graphic and print design, a good technical knowledge of garment construction, fit and fabrication as well as a good eye for colour, detail and styling. You will have excellent Illustrator and Photoshop skills and an enthusiastic and adaptable approach with a highly organised and collaborative approach.
You should hold a BA(Hons) degree certification or higher.

Working with key accounts and reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for:
Costing brand specific product ranges with suppliers (based in Bangladesh, Pakistan & China).
Margin calculations maintaining the company directive.
Raising detailed POs to suppliers.
Maintaining & updating critical paths specific to the orders.
Liaising with suppliers on submissions dates (lab dips, fit samples, labelling/trims, pre-production samples, production samples).
Liaising with customers regarding delivery updates & sampling requests (submissions/photo samples).
Arranging shipments with our nominated forwarder ensuring delivery is kept on time.

The Production Merchandiser manages the critical path for production, collaborating with the Product Development team, purchasing department, and suppliers to ensure on-time and cost-effective order fulfilment from placement to shipment. This role utilises reporting skills and IT systems to generate reports for stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain and manage product prices and price negotiations from Suppliers and work with the Product Development team to achieve required margins without compromising quality standards
Forecast season volumes determined by the supplier’s capacity and capability (capacity management) whilst within the SLAs and target delivery windows and have communicated this to suppliers and the leadership team
Raise and issue purchase orders with suppliers
Plan the capacity of orders placed, managing production efficient quantities across supply base, including fabric and trim bookings with suppliers and follow up as necessary to ensure capacities are met and find solutions to outstanding issues
Manage fabric and trim commitments and work with the product development team to ensure these are utilised in a timely manner
Set targets with suppliers to achieve the delivery deadline and in the right quantities
Proactively monitor the progress of all products from order placement to delivery, following the critical path
Lead meetings with all suppliers to discuss production schedules, issues, risks and solutions to avoid delays
Coordinate with suppliers for efficient transit and communicate arrival info to the leadership team for cross-function coordination

Utilise and generate reports from programs on a regular basis (e.g., shipment, delivery, order lists, seasonal remaining volumes etc)
Analyse and report on sales figures to the Leadership team to identify any risk or opportunities
Proactively establish and maintain the KPIs for suppliers and delivery performance and discuss the analysis with superiors
Develop and instil solid relationships with suppliers to achieve business targets
