Our client is a close-knit, family-run business looking for an experienced and hands-on HR professional to join the team. As the company continues to grow and evolve, we’re looking for someone who can bring solid HR expertise while also fitting into their unique and people-first way of working.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the recruitment process including job offers, onboarding, and contracting
Manage and coordinate MMU placement opportunities
Maintain and update holiday and absence records (“Who’s Off” system)
Monitor and report on sick days and absence trends
Provide advice and support on maternity processes and policies
Assist with the administration of monthly Electric Car Scheme invoices
Track and manage daily staff clock-ins
Ensure policy documents are up to date and in line with legal requirements
Work closely with managers to support and advise on staff-related matters
Provide general HR support across the business
Be a point of contact for both team members and leadership for HR queries

About You:
Minimum 5 years of HR experience
Strong understanding of HR processes and UK employment law
Confident, approachable, and capable of handling sensitive issues with discretion
Adaptable, pragmatic, and willing to get involved in a range of day-to-day tasks
A team player who understands the importance of fitting into a family-run, values-led environment
Reporting Line:
You’ll work closely under the Director to get a full understanding of the culture, operations, and expectations. It’s essential that this role supports existing structure rather than changes it, so clear communication and alignment are key.

Previous experience in knitwear
Confident in CAD
Clo / 3d design preferably but not essential

Our client is an online, trend-led brand and has an exciting and fast-paced role for an experienced Garment Technologist to work alongside their buying team to improve fit and work with suppliers. They are based in Manchester and ship to countries around the globe.
The role:
Conduct fit sessions for own product areas in house and at source, balancing speed and quality, making commercial decisions with confidence, owning the fitting process and inspiring trust and confidence from colleague and suppliers.
Sending clear concise and accurate comments to suppliers, processing samples in a timely and agile manner in line with KPIs.
Liaising with design, buying and suppliers to offer technical guidance on new product development with the aim of reducing cost and improving quality.
Ensuring compliance with product safety and reach legislation, assessing risk, advising on relevant testing, recording and resolving non-compliance effectively and efficiently.
Contributing to initiatives to reduce customers returns.
Always promoting quality whilst maintaining a strong commercial attitude.
Helping design and buying team on developments.
Overseeing GT department on manager absence, giving support to junior members.
About you:
Previous experience within a similar role in a fast-paced environment is essential.
A technically oriented qualification, preferably degree level is essential.
Confident and assertive individual with ability to manage their own fit sessions.
Comprehensive understanding of fitting and fit issues is essential.
Experience of working directly with factories and a thorough understanding of factory production, including workflow and production control.
First class communication skills.
An interest in travel desirable.
Able to meet new challenges with a positive attitude.
Strong time management skills, able to prioritise tasks and change direction with agility.
Confident using Microsoft Office including Excel.
Keen to expand skill set as the role demands.
