Our client is a UK-based apparel supplier with over 50 years of experience working with leading retailers including Next, Urban Outfitters, River Island and others. They specialise in knitwear and jerseywear, supported by a global network of partner factories across countries such as Turkey, India and China.
The UK studio delivers design, development and sampling with industry-leading speed. As they continue strengthening their product development capabilities, we are looking for a talented Senior Knitwear Designer to help drive new ideas, product innovation and commercial design across key customer accounts.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Knitwear Designer with strong commercial awareness and a passion for product development.
This role will work closely with in-house sample unit, customers and overseas factories to develop knitwear collections from concept through to production.
You will be responsible for:
• Creating commercially relevant knitwear designs for major UK retailers
• Developing concepts, colour palettes and seasonal ranges
• Working closely with the in-house sampling team to develop prototypes
• Collaborating with factories, mills and yarn suppliers
• Managing critical paths and sample development timelines
• Presenting designs and collections confidently to customers
• Supporting bulk approvals and product development through to production
What We Are Looking For
• 5–8+ years professional knitwear design experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design development
• Experience working directly with factories, mills and yarn suppliers
• Strong command of colour, layout and composition
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
• Experience managing critical paths and sample rounds
• Ability to balance customer needs with commercial business goals
• Confident presenting ideas and explaining design rationale
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and high productivity

The UK studio delivers design, development and sampling with industry-leading speed. As they enter a new phase of operational focus and growth, they are strengthening the technical team to ensure world-class fit, quality and consistency across all product categories.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Garment Technologist to take ownership of garment approval from development through to production.
This is a key technical position within the business responsible for ensuring product fit, quality and consistency across knitwear and jerseywear.
You will be responsible for:
• Leading fit sessions and managing fit comments with clarity and authority
• Owning garment specifications and grading accuracy
• Ensuring consistency between approved samples and bulk production
• Managing technical communication with overseas factories
• Identifying construction risks before production
• Resolving quality issues quickly and commercially
• Working closely with Design, Sales and Production teams
What We Are Looking For
• Strong experience in jerseywear (knitwear experience preferable)
• Excellent understanding of garment construction, grading and tolerances
• Confident leading fit meetings independently
• Experience working with UK high street retailers
• Strong technical knowledge of fabrics and wash processes
• Ability to manage multiple critical paths under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented but commercially pragmatic

Full-Time Fit Model (Size 78 / UK 8)

About the Role
We are seeking a Full-Time Fit Model (Size 78 / UK 8) to support our clients Garment Technology and Product Development teams. This is not a photographic or catwalk role — it is a hands-on, technical position where you will help ensure the garments fit, feel, and perform exactly as intended before they go into production.
You will work closely with garment technologists during daily/regular fitting sessions, trying on sample garments and providing feedback on comfort, movement, and overall fit.
Key Responsibilities
Attend regular on-site fit sessions with the Garment Technologist
Wear and test first samples, SMS, PP samples, and production garments
Provide clear, constructive feedback on comfort and mobility
Maintain consistent body measurements
Support fittings across multiple product categories (jersey, woven, tailoring, outerwear and swim etc.)
Participate in measurement checks as required
What We Are Looking For
Consistent body measurements aligned with the above
Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
Ability to stand for extended fitting sessions
Comfort being measured and trying on garments in front of a technical team
Previous fit model experience is beneficial but not essential
Strong communication skills and comfort giving honest, clear feedback
Required Measurements
To ensure accuracy in our fit process, candidates must meet the following body measurements:
Bust: ~78 cm
Waist: ~60–62 cm
Hip: ~84–87 cm
Height: Ideally 165–173 cm (5'5"–5'8")
Proportional frame consistent with a UK 6 fit model
