Chasing fabric and trim orders to ensure they are received on time
Following the critical path ensuring timelines are adhered to
Check price on the order matches the costing sheet ensuring everything is entered onto the online system

We are currently looking for a Garment Technologist to join our clients busy head office team. Our client is a leading supplier of children’s and adults character apparel to the leading high street, supermarkets and online retailers, working with factories in Turkey, China, India and Bangladesh.
The Role:
Responsibility of working with a number of retailers – aiming for a right first-time approach.
Creating workbooks/specs for costings and buying samples
Requesting of sealing samples and initial patterns, from offshore manufacturers. Measuring and checking of garments, internal approvals where necessary samples fitted with retailers in person or over VC, and sending comments out to the factories.
Working closely with the factories to ensure that the product meets Retailer & Legal requirements, and necessary risk assessments are carried out.
Administration of the critical path
Submission of final production samples and relevant documentation.
Creating print patterns on Optitex for the design team to set up print packs
Working on Optitex 3D to create patterns for design and development
About you:
We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team, with a positive attitude.
Confident and clear communication skills, both verbal and written, with manufacturers, retailers and within the office environment.
Someone who is well organised and flexible, with a logical and analytical mind, and excellent administration skills
Someone who works well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
Full driving licence is essential.
Knowledge of 3D software, ie Optitex/ Browzwear/ CLO, would be advantageous, training can be provided
2-3 years’ experience in a related area
Willing to travel to retailers for fittings.

Liaising with our international teams to ensure artworks and designs are translated accurately into finished products.

Degree level qualification in Graphic Design, Fashion Graphics, Textile Design

A strong commercial eye for women’s, men’s and childrenswear UK fashion
Good knowledge of print techniques- some knowledge of jersey is preferable
Strong typography, illustration, and layout skills.

You will be:
Work closely with customers and our Sales Team, on UK, European and Middle Eastern contract accounts, whilst also playing an integral role within the Merchandise Team, managing both customer contracts and orders for our stock range.
· Handle costings for development styles that have generated customer interest.
· Raise orders on our in-house PLMS system.
· Manage the critical path for your contract orders.
· Liaise with all teams including Sales, Account Managers, Shipping, Design and Garment Technologists to ensure the smooth running of the critical path.
· Where relevant, order or send out labelling and packaging to suppliers.

You will have:
5 years of experience of working in a similar role.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year industry experience of true men’s knitwear and will be required to have a flexible and conscientious approach.
The role will involve the following:
The focus is to work closely with the Men’s Knitwear Design Director to develop seasonal collections for priority contract customers.
To also be involved in the development of stock collections across several in-house brands.
Working to customer briefs to present design work that satisfies style and colour direction for both UK and global contract customers.
Creating technical packs for initial sample development and fine tuning with colourway options for production.
Creating profiles for ordered styles on PLMS database for orders to be raised by merchandise department.
Liaising with China and Bangladesh offices, senior management, sales, garment technologists and merchandisers.
Requirements:
