Mens Knitwear Designer

We are looking for a Mens Knitwear Designer. This role requires a creative individual with strong technical knowledge of knitwear, along with the ability to manage client relationships and provide strategic direction for orders without handling every operational detail.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop knitwear collections based on seasonal trends and client requirements
Create mood boards, colour palettes, and technical sketches
Select appropriate yarns, stitches, and techniques to achieve the desired aesthetics and functionality
Oversee sampling and collaborate with factories to ensure production feasibility
Research market trends and innovations to enhance product offerings
Provide strategic direction on orders and ensure smooth coordination between design, production, and merchandising teams


Requirements:
Experience: 3+ years knitwear design
Strong knowledge of yarns, knitting techniques, pattern making and garment construction

Software Proficiency: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design tools
Understanding of knitwear trends and manufacturing processes

As they enter a new phase of operational focus and growth, they are strengthening the technical team to ensure world-class fit, quality and consistency across all product categories. The Role We are looking for an experienced Garment Technologist to take ownership of garment approval from development through to production. This is a key technical position within the business responsible for ensuring product fit, quality and consistency across knitwear and jerseywear. Full-Time Fit Model (Size 78 / UK 8) Manchester About the Role We are seeking a Full-Time Fit Model (Size 78 / UK 8) to support our clients Garment Technology and Product Development teams. This is not a photographic or catwalk role — it is a hands-on, technical position where you will help ensure the garments fit, feel, and perform exactly as intended before they go into production. You will work closely with garment technologists during daily/regular fitting sessions, trying on sample garments and providing feedback on comfort, movement, and overall fit. You will work on a wide range of childrenswear and babywear products including daywear, coats, swimwear, pyjama's etc. Role includes - Measuring and fitting children's garments from first sales sample through to production. Excel based workbooks used to record measurements and comments. Knowledge of grading for creating size specifications. Care label layout checking from factories. Checking and storing of test reports submitted by factories. The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Garment Technologist, with childrenswear experience and experience of managing / mentoring other team members.
