Garment Technologist

We are seeking a detail-driven, proactive, and innovative Garment Technician to join a small dynamic product development and garment technology team based in Manchester. This is an amazing opportunity to work for a great company that don't recruit very often. The successful candidate will have experience in a relevant garment technology role and will ideally be educated to degree level in a textile or fashion-related discipline. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for running and a strong desire to contribute to a high-performance product team.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend and contribute to final proto fit sessions prior to seasonal handover.
Check and measure SMS garments, arrange fit test hand over with the development team and send reports to the suppliers, request size sets or PP samples when required.
Manage grading. Constant review of range to ensure all sizes meet size guide.
Check all bulk specifications and amend them where needed then send to the suppliers with the SMS comments.
Request product compliance documentation when sending the bulk specs.
Check and measure all size set sample garments, arrange fit test with the development team to ensure the fit is correct as required by the developers.
Check and measure all pre-production samples and send the reports to the suppliers.
Arrange size set testing (from size set samples or bulk). Communicate with wearer testers and use feedback to improve fit across all sizes, excluding base size.
Meet seasonal critical path deadlines, report to Product Development Manager regularly and update proto monitor spreadsheet.
Assist in the preparation for the seasonal product launches.
Help and advise the production department to resolve any issues related to faulty returned products.
Check swing tickets, washcare labels & packaging is correct on SMS before bulk production.
Stock take SMS account, manage it accordingly and return all un-wanted SMS garments to stock.
Carry out ad hoc random QC check at the request of the production team.
About You:
Experience in a relevant Garment Technology role.
Ideally educated to degree level in Textile or Fashion based Subject.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to collaborate effectively across teams.
Highly organised, with an exceptional attention to detail and a passion for getting the small things right.
Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Illustrator for technical drawing and communication.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A passion for running is desirable and will help you connect with the product and the brand ethos.

We are looking for a Junior Buyer to take ownership of Accessories, Nightwear and Swimwear categories. This is a hands-on buying role with responsibility for both product selection and product development, working closely with Design, Merchandising, QC, Marketing and E-Commerce teams to deliver exciting, commercial ranges that resonate with the customer.
You will be responsible for managing your own product areas end-to-end, building strong supplier relationships, translating trends into commercial product, and driving sales and profit through well-planned, well-executed ranges.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of sourcing, developing and selecting product ranges across your categories
Build, maintain and develop strong, effective supplier relationships
Lead product development from concept through to delivery, managing the critical path and key deadlines
Create and implement range plans and category strategies in line with brand direction and customer needs
Monitor stock performance against KPIs and manage OTB accordingly
Analyse trade, sales and margin performance, identifying risks and opportunities
Contribute to planning, trade and sales meetings with clear, data-driven insight

Duties
Order Management

Critical Path Management

• Using Critical path to ensure timely delivery of stock into the Warehouse, highlighting any possible risks and reasons for delays to the B&M team on outstanding samples/approvals.
• Managing approval process, chasing suppliers for Buying samples/Outstanding approvals/fit samples, filing accordingly.
Trading Information
• Preparing weekly and seasonal analysis (Traffic light documents).
• Ensuring preparation for Trade Meeting.
• Creating and updating ‘New in’ competitive analysis.
• Creating and updating Benchmarking information.

Sample Management
