About the Role
Merchandising Stock Administrator
Birmingham
We are recruiting a Merchandising Stock Administrator for a leading Retailer who are going through a huge period of growth. They are seeking a dedicated person to enhance their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Make bookings with suppliers for intake across all WH locations
- Collate & enter all packing list information onto systems ahead of deliveries
- Advise all WH locations of planned deliveries, along with any supporting documentation
- Ensure all planned deliveries are received into all systems in a timely & accurate manner
- Maintain WH locations in system, ensuring that all stock is moved into pickable locations, to maximise distribution across all channels
Candidate Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and inventory management
- Must possess Excel skills
- Numerate
- A related Degree or a minimum of 1 years' experience in retail merchandising

Place all initial orders in line with forecasts and targets.
Maintain 100% accuracy in product data, costing and style setup.
Analyse performance to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Creative, Photography and Design teams to deliver brilliant online and catalogue imagery.
Liaise with Digital Trading, Web Merchandising and Marketing to optimise product presentation. Support Direct Mail themes with cohesive storytelling and product selection.
Present your range to external partners for wholesale and marketplace opportunities. Leadership & Team Development Lead, support and develop the Buyers Assistant, nurturing skills and building capability.
Person Specification
Minimum 3 years’ experience in buying for homewares, fashion or a related consumer product category.
Demonstrable experience in product development and/or working with manufacturers (textiles advantageous).
Strong commercial and analytical abilities to optimise trading performance.
Confident negotiator with global supplier experience.
Experience in multi-channel retail
Experience in wholesaling or marketplace exposure.

Being involved in the final approval of all product pages on the website. Expectation is right first time, 100% of the time, whilst optimising the customer journey by performing regular site walks/reviews to ensure customer journey for partner brands are well optimised and intuitive. Regular SEO audits to drive excellent SEO Optimisation in collaboration with the in-house SEO Team. Utilise keyword research and search trends data to optimise product titles and copy on product pages. Work in close alignment with the merchandising / marketing teams across the division to ensure brands/group are well represented on site & across channel. Regular interpretation of data analysis, providing key insights and recommendations for improvement across a variety of metrics such as traffic, conversion and basket metrics. Purchase of ROI dashboard required.
Use insights to understand customer behaviour, making decisions and recommendations based on these insights with the customer at the forefront of mind.
Providing digital and trade post event analysis and recommendations to inform future investment strategy & understand customer behaviour within brand and understand key replenish/cross sell triggers to increase retention
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
Ecommerce trading experience with SEO experience with high knowledge of Keyword Research
Interest within the retail / clothing industry
Analytical ability with high attention to detail
Excellent communicator – able to give clarity and set direction
Commercial awareness of the beauty industry would be advantageous
